Each residence hall is managed by a staff of professionals and student para-professionals. All are trained in handling every type of situation, from students who lock themselves out of their rooms to coping with the anxieties and stresses of being away from home. The professional staff positions are listed below. Please see the "Student Staff" section to learn about the various para-professional positions.
The Hall Director is a full-time, professional, live-in/live on position reporting to a Residence Life Coordinator. The HD is responsible for the organization and leadership of student development programs and the management of administrative operations of their residence hall. All student para-professionals and staff report to the Hall Director.
Assistant Directors (ADs) of Residence Life are full-time Department of Housing staff members reporting to the Director of Residential Life. ADs participate as members of the Residence Life Leadership Team, coordinating long-range and strategic planning for the Department of Housing. ADs assist in the implementation of co-curricular programs designed to produce a community living environment supportive of the residential student's intellectual, spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and occupational development. ADs provide crisis management coordination and other assistance as required.
